Advising with Go Global! @ UW-Madison

Effective immediately, Go Global! @ UW-Madison will no longer offer advising (either drop-ins or appointments).

Go Global! will continue to maintain our web-based tools, including our opportunities
listing & the Go Global! LinkedIn group where you are invited to ask your
questions and share your experiences working, interning, and volunteering abroad.

Students seeking advising related to working abroad in some capacity should explore all their options, including:

• A good place to start is the Badger Careers site where you can get information on the various advising offices across campus. Remember, many offices will meet with students who are not enrolled in its administrative home school/college.

• International Directions advisor, Michael Kruse "is available to meet with students from across campus to help connect them with academic programs and campus resources that fit their interests, as well as to discuss professional opportunities that draw on their language-learning and international experiences."

• International Internship Program assistant director, Michelle Kern Hall, advises students on internship opportunities abroad both those available though UW-Madison's International Internship Program and those sought independently and/or through other providers.

• Students preparing to study abroad and wishing to pair it with a work experience should connect with the Badger Career Network Abroad (via the WAA) and read through Go Global!'s own notes on Networking around Study Abroad.
